Pemanfaatan Limbah Kulit Bawang Dan Air Cucian Beras Sebagai Pestisida Nabati Di Desa Tanjung Kemuning, Kabupaten Kaur

Abstrak

The continuous use of chemical pesticides in agricultural activities and the maintenance of home gardens can have negative impacts, such as environmental pollution and reduced soil fertility. Meanwhile, household waste such as onion skins and rice-washing water is often simply discarded, despite its potential for utilization. This community service program through the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) aimed to provide knowledge and develop the skills of residents of Tanjung Kemuning Village, Kaur Regency, in processing organic waste into botanical pesticides. The activity was conducted using a participatory educational method consisting of preparation, socialization, hands-on production, and direct application. The results showed that the community responded positively and was able to follow the process of producing botanical pesticides. This was supported by the use of materials and equipment that are easily available in household environments. This educational activity serves as an initial step for village communities to reduce their dependence on commercially produced chemical pesticides, lower the cost of maintaining home gardens, and reduce the volume of kitchen waste.
